Safety Harbor City Commission to meet May 6

The Safety Harbor City Commission will meet at 7 p.m. May 6 in the William Blackshear Commission Chambers at City Hall at 750 Main St. The regular meeting will be preceded at 6 p.m. by a Goal-Setting Workshop.

Safety Harbor $7.2 million sale breaks record

A 7,125 square-foot waterfront home, located at 910 S. Bayshore Blvd., sold April 5 for $7.2 million, the highest price paid for a single-family home in Safety Harbor. The three-story, 6-bedroom, 6.5 bath home sits on a 1.37-acre lot with no neighbors for a half-mile on either side.

City Commission to take time finding a new City Manager

At its Monday night meeting, the Safety Harbor City Commission decided that it is best to take its time in finding a replacement for City Manager Matthew Spoor, asking the city's interim city manager and human resources director to come back at the next meeting with more information on outside search firms.
