A person was hospitalized after falling into a 10-foot-deep hole that opened up in Safety Harbor overnight.
The hole opened up under the sidewalk on Curlew Road just east of McMullen Booth Road around midnight, the Safety Harbor Fire Department said.
Sunstar Paramedics were initially dispatched for reports of a fall and alerted authorities of the gaping hole.
