At its May 20 meeting, the Safety Harbor City Commission unanimously approved an agreement with the Boy Scouts of America for swimming opportunities for residents at the Scout's Camp Soule at 2201 Soule Road in Clearwater.

Residents will have access to swim lessons, summer camp swim days, adult aquatic fitness classes and staff training in lifeguarding.

The city's previous agreement with the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch for similar programming expired in April as the facility can no longer accommodate all of the programming needed, but it will be available for use when Camp Soule is unavailable.
