Matt Spoor attended his final meeting as Safety Harbor’s city manager May 6, ending a near 20-year career that saw him exit as the longest-tenured city manager in Pinellas County.
Spoor, who is starting a new job working for County Administrator Barry Burton’s office this week, was recognized for his many accomplishments and contributions to the city during his tenure by Mayor Joe Ayoub and the city commissioners. He also received a few parting gifts of appreciation, including a desktop street sign with his name and tenure perched on a broken-off piece of the historic Baranoff oak.
