At its Monday night meeting, the Safety Harbor City Commission voted unanimously to grant right of first refusal to Paint Your Heart Out Safety Harbor and the Kiwanis Club of Safety Harbor to be the beneficiaries of the Safety Harbor Craft Beer Festival in 2025.
The two non-profits were previously selected by Commission to be the planners and beneficiaries of the inaugural event in October 2024. Because of the effort involved in planning a first-time event, the non-profits asked to have right of first refusal so the could be beneficiaries of the second event if they so choose.
The two will have 15 business days after the completion of the October event to let the city know whether they'd like to remain beneficiaries for 2025.
